Topic: theoretical research

Develop independent theoretical research in atomic, molecular and optical physics. The search includes quantum optics, quantum simulation and connections with quantum-information science.

Conduct theoretical research on topological matter, quantum devices, quantum error correction, fault-tolerant computation, non-equilibrium quantum dynamics and generalized symmetries at the C.N. Yang Institute. The expected start is September 2027. Appointments run for two years and may renew for a third subject to funding. Exceptional candidates may join the Simons Non-Equilibrium Frontier collaboration. Review begins 16 November 2026 and continues until filled.

Conduct theoretical research on topological phenomena in condensed-matter systems. The postdoctoral appointment joins RIKEN's emergent-matter theory programme.
