Kenneth Wharton of San Jose State University discusses local weak values in quantum circuits and whether they support a covariant description of individual qubits. The talk considers entanglement, constraints across an entire circuit and the relationship between quantum systems and classical spacetime. This talk investigates whether localized quantities can describe quantum circuits while respecting spacetime covariance. Evidence suggests that weak values form a tensor for each qubit whose local dynamics are unaffected by distant operations even in entangled states. Because both initial and final constraints matter, the description is determined across the whole circuit at once. The presentation discusses how that perspective relates to Bell constraints and possible underlying spacetime descriptions.
