Using Neighborhood Data in Aging Research: The National Neighborhood Data Archive (NaNDA)
Gerontology, Data Science and Epidemiology workshop
About
Neighborhood conditions influence health and aging, but researchers can face difficulties finding contextual measures and combining them with their own studies. This practical workshop introduces NaNDA, a free archive of neighborhood measures covering the United States over several decades. Participants will work through dataset selection, geographic identifiers, matching time periods, and linkage to survey or administrative data. The programme includes a repository tour, aging-research examples, beginner and intermediate breakout groups, and discussion of participants’ data-linkage questions.
Live online on 2026-10-07, 12:00–14:00 EDT (America/New_York). Registration requires a GSA member or non-member account; the fee is US$15 for members or US$25 for non-members. Annual Scientific Meeting attendance is not required.
