Astrophysics conferences

The 36th Astronomical Data Analysis Software and Systems conference brings together developers and users of astronomical software, algorithms and data systems. ICRAR hosts the meeting with SKAO, CSIRO and AusSRC. The programme includes research presentations, tutorials and community discussions. General registration remains open until 15 October 2026, and poster abstracts close on 1 October; the early-bird period has ended. Online registration is also available.

The eighteenth Latin American Regional IAU Meeting convenes astronomy researchers for a broad scientific programme in Cancún. UNAM’s Instituto de Astronomía and Instituto de Radioastronomía y Astrofísica organize the meeting with INAOE. Abstract submissions and IAU travel-grant requests have closed. Registration without a scientific contribution and late payment remain available until 20 October 2026; the fee increases after 21 September.

The 249th AAS meeting convenes the astronomy and astrophysics community in Salt Lake City from 10–14 January 2027, with the Historical Astronomy Division. The programme offers research presentations and community exchange across astronomical subfields. Registration is open through the official meeting site.

This international ALMA science conference covers results across astronomy, synergies with other facilities and future capabilities. The programme includes scientific presentations, Wideband Sensitivity Upgrade updates and archival/CARTA tutorials. Abstract submission closed on 15 September 2026. Registration opens on 30 September 2026; the early-bird deadline is 27 November and the final registration deadline is 20 January 2027.

The IAU General Assembly brings together the international astronomy community for symposia, focus meetings and broader scientific exchange. The preliminary programme includes computational astrophysics, CTAO, planet formation, stellar populations, low-surface-brightness astronomy and AI methods. Registration opened on 15 September 2026. Standard talk/poster abstracts and participation-grant applications close on 15 January 2027; early registration closes on 5 March. Session details remain subject to confirmation.
