12th International Congress of Clinical and Health Psychology in Children and Adolescents

The programme presents recent advances and innovative approaches to the assessment, prevention and treatment of psychological difficulties in these developmental stages, with keynote addresses, symposia and poster sessions over three days. Keynotes: Randy Kamphaus (early detection of behavioural health needs of “subthreshold” youth; recipient of the 2026 AITANA Award), Regina van den Eijnden (problematic social media use among adolescents), Silvia Schneider (population-level mental health promotion), Annelijn Wensing-Kruger (transgender health care in childhood and adolescence), Xavier Méndez (thinking, feeling and acting as parents), Johan Bjureberg (understanding and treating youth self-harm) and Isabelle Roskam (parental burnout). Symposia cover topics such as mental health and peer connections in neurodivergent youth, suicidal behaviour, interpersonal emotion regulation, technology and psychological well-being, chronic illness, school bullying and drug- and violence-prevention programmes. Presentations are given in the language of their title (English or Spanish). The congress is organised by the AITANA Research Group of the Center for Research on Children and Adolescents at Miguel Hernández University (coordinator José P. Espada), with a local organising committee from the University of Granada; Scientific Committee president Mireia Orgilés.
