2026 QBIC Symposium: Beyond Silos - The New Ecosystem of Brain Injury Care

This symposium examines how connected research, shared data and lived experience can improve care after brain injury. It spans stroke, traumatic injury, concussion and rehabilitation, linking laboratory work with clinical services and policy. A patient-journey case study examines gaps from emergency retrieval through rehabilitation and long-term community care. Sessions explore data harmonisation, co-design, exercise-related cognition, peer support and translation into practice. Project showcases include AI-supported vocational training, virtual-reality rehabilitation, post-stroke stimulation, concussion assessment and injury biomarkers; a cross-disciplinary pitch competition addresses translation gaps.
