APS DFD Annual Meeting 2026

The 79th annual meeting of the APS Division of Fluid Dynamics brings together students, postdoctoral researchers, academics, and government and industry scientists to exchange advances across fluid dynamics. Its research programme spans more than 40 subject areas, including biological flows, drops, flow instability and vortex dynamics. Contributed and invited talks, prize lectures, minisymposia, focus sessions, technical and student posters, and DFD-Interact provide complementary formats for scientific discussion. The exhibition includes measurement and instrumentation technologies. Meeting chair S. Balachandar and co-chair Jason Butler lead the local organizing committee.

The in-person meeting runs 22–24 November 2026 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. Programme times are EST (America/New_York, UTC−5). On 22 November, registration opens at 07:00 and DFD-Interact begins at 08:00. Scientific sessions begin at 08:00 on 23 and 24 November; the final published session ends at 15:00 on 24 November. The schedule is preliminary and may change.

Registration is open through the APS event portal and requires an APS account. Standard full-meeting fees include USD 850 for regular members, USD 410 for graduate students, USD 155 for undergraduates, and USD 1,125 for nonmembers. Abstract submission has closed; attendance remains available.
