The 53rd edition is organised by DEGA and TU Darmstadt in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute for Structural Durability and System Reliability LBF, and further with the German Physical Society (DPG), the DIN/VDI standards committee for acoustics, noise control and vibration engineering (NALS) and the Information Technology Society (ITG) in VDE. Technical sessions of lectures and posters span the field of acoustics, accompanied by an exhibition and technical visits. Precolloquia on 8 March 2027 address vibroacoustic metamaterials; aircraft noise, its calculation, effects and mitigation technologies; and auditory perception in people with hearing loss beyond speech understanding. The conference is chaired by Tobias Melz and Robert Feldmann of the System Reliability, Adaptive Structures and Machine Acoustics group (SAM) at TU Darmstadt, where machine acoustics research has grown from computational prediction of noise-reduction measures for machines to active systems, simulation of machine sound radiation, vibroacoustic metamaterials and AI-based methods. The programme starts on 8 March 2027 with the precolloquia and the DEGA general assembly, opens formally on 9 March 2027 at 09:00 and continues with technical sessions until 11 March 2027 at the darmstadtium science and congress centre. Contributed abstracts closed on 1 November 2026; late posters can be submitted until 1 February 2027.
