ESCAIDE 2026
About
ESCAIDE brings together infectious-disease epidemiology, public-health practice and research. Its programme connects outbreak investigation, surveillance, genomic evidence, modelling and One Health approaches with prevention and health-security decisions. Plenaries examine distributed global public-health leadership and cooperation, the scientific infrastructure behind EU health security, communicating risk when trust is contested, integrated respiratory-infection surveillance, and modelling for public-health decisions. Contributed sessions cover respiratory and food- and water-borne diseases, antimicrobial resistance, surveillance and quantitative methods.
Named plenary participants include Shingai Machingaidze (Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations / International Pandemic Preparedness Secretariat), Gianfranco Spiteri (ECDC), Helen Brown (Safinea, Ireland) and Magdalena Rosińska (National Public Health Institute, Poland). Their sessions consider evidence sharing and equity, capacity gaps, epidemic intelligence and analytical tools for coordinated responses.
The conference runs 18–20 November 2026. Programme times are CET (Europe/Stockholm): the opening ceremony is 09:00 on 18 November; the first plenary is 09:30–10:30 and the EU health-security plenary 17:15–18:30 that day. The published programme is provisional and session details may change. Online participation is free, with unlimited general registration open through the conference days. Physical places are at capacity; on-site registration is limited to issued access codes or the waiting list. This listing offers online attendance through the official registration platform.
