About
The meeting examines how quantitative geological dating establishes the sequence, duration and causes of Earth and planetary processes. Contributions span tectonics, magmatism, sedimentary records, biological history, planetary evolution and mineral formation.
Researchers will compare analytical, computational and calibration methods, identify limitations of current infrastructure and technology, and discuss how complementary dating approaches can test time-dependent models. Attendance requires a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, or an accepted equivalent. Applications are subject to selection and available capacity.
