Minority Tree Species 2027

Themes include closing gaps in tree conservation; promoting rare species in forest management; alternative species for climate adaptation; assisted migration and transformational forest restoration; afforestation; gene conservation, seed procurement and nursery production; biotic and abiotic risks and invasive species; products such as timber and fruit; and biodiversity, recreation and landscape aesthetics. The programme includes invited keynotes, contributed presentations, posters, demonstrations and discussion sessions, plus two field excursions to experiments and practice trials with genera including Corylus, Juglans, Malus, Pyrus, Sorbus and Taxus. Selected contributions will be invited for peer review in a special journal issue.
