Planetary Science, Astronomy and conference by Gordon Research Conferences
The conference brings together researchers studying the formation of planets and planetary systems through astronomy, laboratory experiments, spacecraft observations and numerical models. Its scope includes protoplanetary-disc structure, the growth of dust into planetesimals, transport of solids and volatiles, planetary accretion, interiors, atmospheres and satellites.
Comparison with exoplanet populations links detailed formation mechanisms to the diversity of observed systems. Attendance requires a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, or an accepted equivalent. Applications are subject to selection and available capacity.
