SCI2027 – 29th National Congress of the Società Chimica Italiana

The programme opens on 13 September with SCI Young sessions for emerging researchers, followed by plenary sessions and medal lectures, including Nobel laureates Ben Feringa, David MacMillan and Omar Yaghi. Twelve thematic and fifteen divisional sessions, curated by the SCI divisions with keynotes and oral presentations, cover sensing, biosensing and imaging; the One-Health approach; chemistry and life science; chemistry for cultural heritage; academia-industry exchange; chemical education and outreach; AI- and machine-learning-driven chemistry; safe and sustainable by design; macromolecular science; smart materials; chemistry-driven clean energy; and frontiers in catalysis. The final day is devoted to "Chemistry meets Society and Industry". A large exhibition area presents technical solutions across sectors. Oral abstracts are due 31 March 2027 and posters 15 April 2027.
