Second, the system captures fine-grained inter-item reaction times alongside conventional performance metrics (accuracy, completion time, error rates). This temporal granularity provides unprecedented opportunities for fundamental research into executive function subprocesses, including the dynamics of planning, cognitive flexibility, working memory updating, and inhibitory control mechanisms. Traditional paper-and-pencil versions cannot capture these millisecond-level temporal patterns that reveal underlying cognitive processing strategies.
The platform implements automated data collection with CSV export, built-in quality control features, and standardized protocols. All source code will be made available on GitHub to facilitate replication by the community. This accessible, standardized battery addresses the demand for remote neuropsychological evaluation while opening new methodological possibilities for cognitive neuroscience research through detailed temporal analysis of executive control processes. Normalization results from the ongoing validation study will be presented in the poster.
