Exploratory brain and nervous-system research helps new independent investigators generate evidence for larger research programmes. Mandatory letters of intent are due November 3, 2026, at 5 p.m. Eastern; full applications follow February 17, 2027.

First-position eligibility is 84 months for appointments beginning by December 31, 2022, otherwise 60 months, assessed at the full-application deadline excluding eligible leave. Postdocs, adjunct faculty and prior Future Leaders or Azrieli early-career awardees are ineligible.
