2027 ESA Sustainability Science Award for Scholarly Work

Recognise a recent scholarly contribution integrating ecological and social sciences to advance ecosystem or regional sustainability. Eligible work can be a book, book chapter or peer-reviewed article published approximately within the previous five years. The nomination includes a full citation, the publication and a letter explaining its contribution. A publisher nomination requires accompanying non-publisher nominations. Nominations close on 19 November 2026.

Authors of a qualifying recent contribution to sustainability science. Any nationality or residence may qualify, with priority to ESA members. Self-nominations are not accepted and society conflict-of-interest rules apply.
