Erwin Schrödinger Fellowships

International mobility funding for early-career postdocs with an Austrian connection. The fellowship supports 10–24 months at a research institution abroad and an optional return phase in Austria of up to 12 months. Funding includes a country-dependent fellowship, a EUR 300 monthly career-development allowance and, where applicable, salary and project costs during the return phase. Applications are rolling through elane.

Applicants need a doctorate, appropriate research qualifications, an invitation from an excellent host abroad and an option to return to an Austrian institution. The FWF territoriality principle must be met; this is not an unrestricted incoming fellowship.
