About
ESPRIT supports an independent project and career development at an Austrian research institution for 36 months. It funds the project leader’s salary plus EUR 45,000 in project costs, or up to EUR 75,000 with justification. A mentor and development plan are required. Applications are accepted year-round through elane. Researchers may apply from abroad.

Postdoctoral researchers normally within five years of their doctorate, with an Austrian host and mentor. Near-completion doctoral candidates may apply if the degree will be completed during review, but must hold it before starting. Career-break rules apply.
