Investigator-led basic research across disciplines supports defined scientific questions and research groups for up to 48 months. Proposals are accepted on a rolling basis.

Austrian host and principal research focus required.
Applicants need the scientific qualifications to lead the project. Research must take place at an Austrian institution with appropriate infrastructure. A permanent research focus exceeding 50% outside Austria is ineligible.
