About

Grants of up to GBP 1,200 support short genetics or genomics courses and laboratory visits to learn specific techniques. Eligible costs include travel, accommodation, subsistence and course fees. Deadlines recur quarterly on 15 February, May, August and November; the next is 15 November 2026. Applicants should apply at least three months before training.

Apply with a supervisor or host

Covers: Up to GBP 1,200 for travel, accommodation, subsistence and training fees.

Applicant must study or work in the UK, or attend training in the UK. Students need a supporting supervisor who is also a member.
