About
International recruitment call for four PhD positions starting between May and September 2027 in Leuven. Projects investigate nervous-system development, ageing, function and disease, including neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental conditions. The centre combines approaches from molecular and single-cell biology, functional genomics and imaging with AI, neuroengineering and microelectronics. Applicants must select from the advertised projects and identify the relevant supervisor.
Requirements
Appropriate master’s degree or equivalent, distinction in academic results or professional achievement, and English proficiency meeting KU Leuven requirements. Applicants completing a master’s may apply if they graduate before starting. Relevant experience is advantageous; related non-neuroscience backgrounds are welcome. This is an international call; local candidates should contact PIs directly outside the programme. Submit project-specific motivation, CV, academic records and two or three references as instructed.
