About
Build an independent biosensing research programme studying environmental influences on human health in McGill’s Department of Biomedical Engineering. Areas include molecular and cellular sensors, synthetic biology, microfluidics, wearables and implantable or ingestible devices. Responsibilities include research funding, graduate supervision, teaching and interdisciplinary translation. Appointment must begin no later than 1 July 2027. Salary is commensurate with qualifications; the linked Emerging Leaders award supports research and is not the employment salary.

PhD required for appointment. Candidates must have worked and resided outside Canada on 4 July 2026 and be within five years of their first independent research appointment, adjusted for eligible delays.
