About
Two-year postdoctoral contract at the Centre d’Écologie Fonctionnelle et Évolutive (CEFE) in Montpellier within ECO-EVO BIODIV, a project developing an integrative eco-evolutionary approach to biodiversity and its dynamics across biodiversity levels, biological groups and intra- and interspecific variability. Using mathematical models, the postdoc will study how intraspecific and interspecific interactions combine to shape the dynamics of simple trophic modules (for example one predator, two prey and one resource) in a spatial context, focusing on coexistence arising from joint ecological and evolutionary dynamics driven by competition and predation.
Particular attention will be paid to the link between these evolutionary dynamics and the assembly of trophic modules, as in biological invasions, and the work will analyse how such eco-evolutionary dynamics operate in a case study from ECO-EVO BIODIV: long-term monitoring of freshwater systems in Martinique. Start date 1 May 2027; gross monthly salary from €3,071.50 depending on experience.
