About
Tenure-track, nine-month appointment in the Department of Evolution and Ecology for a plant evolutionary biologist. Research may address plant diversification, trait evolution, major innovations, comparative genomics and evolutionary development, or population biology, quantitative genetics, adaptation, speciation, biogeography, life histories and species interactions, using empirical, computational, experimental or theoretical approaches. The appointee will build an independently funded research programme, teach undergraduate and graduate courses and mentor students.
Published salary range: USD 84,100–108,900, with possible additional salary components. Full consideration is given to applications completed by 17 October 2026; the verified final application date is 30 June 2027, with later review conditional on the position remaining unfilled.
Requirements
PhD or equivalent in biological sciences or a related field by appointment; published plant evolutionary biology research, an independent research plan with funding potential, teaching and mentoring ability. Submit cover letter, CV, research statement (three pages), teaching statement (two pages), up to three representative publications, three reference letters and the required disclosure authorization.
