Experimental Postdoc – Quantum Computing and Networking
Quantum Technology, Quantum Physics and postdoctoral position at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory
About
Develop optical links connecting atomic and solid-state qubits for distributed quantum computing. Experimental work combines laser-cooled neutral atoms, rare-earth-ion crystals and trapped-ion systems to study remote entanglement and quantum gate teleportation. The full-time appointment lasts two years with possible renewal. Work may be on-site, hybrid or telework but must remain within the United States.
Requirements
PhD and experimental expertise in quantum computing, optics, networking or a related field; hands-on qubit, laser, vacuum or cryogenic-system experience; less than three years of paid postdoctoral experience.
