Faculty (in Pure and Applied Mathematics)

MIT Mathematics invites applications for faculty appointments in pure and applied mathematics, normally at assistant-professor level, with consideration at higher ranks where appropriate. Appointments begin July 1, 2027. Candidates are expected to demonstrate excellence in research and teaching. Applications received by November 1, 2026 receive full consideration.

PhD completed by the start date. Apply through MathJobs with a CV, publication list, research statement, broader-impact statement, and a statement explaining use of generative AI in prior work and the application. A teaching statement is optional. Provide three recommendation letters, preferably including one on teaching.
