MAE Energy Systems Search

Tenure-track or tenured faculty position at the rank of assistant, associate or full professor in the Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Cornell University, in the broad areas of energy systems, thermal and fluid sciences and nanoscale science. Areas of interest include energy conversion and storage, sustainable energy and building technologies, heat and mass transfer, fluid dynamics and multiphase flows, nanoscale transport, and thermal engineering for advanced electronics, AI computing and data centres, quantum technologies, biomedicine and aerospace, through experimental, theoretical or computational research.

The anticipated start is July 1, 2027; the pay range is $100,100 to $357,300. Applications received by November 15, 2026 receive full consideration, and applications are evaluated on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
