PhD position in Electrical Engineering with Specialization in Signal Processing

A PhD position in the Division of Signals and Systems, Department of Electrical Engineering, Uppsala University, on "Multi-Modal Environment Modeling for Wireless Spatial Intelligence". Future wireless networks are expected to perceive and interact with the physical world. The project develops model- and learning-based methods for wireless localisation, integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) and multi-modal environment modelling that combine wireless measurements with vision, geometry, maps and other sensing modalities.

It also studies how distributed wireless devices can collaboratively learn, maintain and exchange semantic representations of their environment to support cooperative perception, localisation and sensing. Start 1 March 2027 or by agreement (reference UFV-PA 2026/2989).
