Postdoctoral positions in Computational Relativistic Astrophysics
Astrophysics, Computational Physics and postdoctoral position at Max Planck Institute for Gravitational Physics
Apply by Sunday, Dec 13
About
Two- to three-year appointments in Masaru Shibata’s division investigate relativistic astrophysics with high-performance computation. Topics include neutron-star mergers, collapsars, nucleosynthesis, stellar collapse and explosions, massive black-hole formation and multimessenger astrophysics. Researchers have access to Max Planck Computing and Data Facility resources. Positions begin from 1 September 2027; 13 December 2026 is the full-consideration deadline.
Requirements
Apply through the institute form with a cover letter, CV, publication list and research statement, and identify three referees. Relevant research experience in computational relativistic astrophysics is central to the programme.
