About
An 18-month appointment at Institut Charles Gerhardt Montpellier within the RADICAL project of the French PEPR Batteries programme. Develop aqueous redox-flow batteries using inexpensive organic active molecules near neutral pH. Evaluate electrolytes and battery performance, investigate degradation, and monitor composition, pH and dissolved oxygen to relate stability to cycling conditions. The planned start is 1 February 2027; applications close on 6 October 2026 at 23:59 source local time.
Requirements
Doctorate, strong electrochemistry and electrolyte-physical-chemistry knowledge, familiarity with organic chemistry and techniques such as NMR and UV-visible spectroscopy, and good scientific English. Energy-storage experience is advantageous. The work requires experimental development, data analysis, scientific communication, independent initiative and collaboration. Travel in France and abroad is expected. Apply through the CNRS portal using reference UMR5253-STELEV-006; authentication is required.
