About
Develop AI methods for battery degradation prediction and discovery of electrolyte and membrane materials in UBC’s SOLID Lab. Combine industrial operational data with experiments and simulations through time-series models, physics-informed learning, explainable AI, generative methods and optimisation. The anticipated start is 1 April 2027. Salary is CAD 70,000 annually plus approximately 20% in benefits; external fellowship holders may receive a top-up.

Requirements
Completed or nearly completed relevant PhD, strong Python and machine-learning or optimisation skills, publications and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
