About
The AnSur project led by Prof. François Labourie at EPFL studies the global geometry of deformation spaces of Anosov representations of hyperbolic groups, with emphasis on positive representations and their relation to geometric analysis. Techniques range from geometric PDE to combinatorics, including how asymptotic data such as limit sets in flag manifolds interact with solutions of PDEs of geometric origin, for instance from Higgs bundles. The postdoc will work with department members in related areas, collaborate with other postdocs, may contribute to teaching and will co-organise seminars and conferences with the PI.
The contract runs one year, renewable up to two years, within a project ending in March 2029. Applications for the 1 September 2027 start are due by 31 January 2027.
Requirements
Proven scientific excellence in areas related to surface group representations, geodesic currents or geometric analysis; strong publication record; cover letter, CV with publications, research statement and three references.
