About
Two-year NSF-funded postdoctoral appointment in the P-MixSwitch collaboration with the University of Arizona. Investigate how marine mixoplankton switch between photosynthesis and predation using cultures, molecular experiments, transcriptomics and bioinformatics. Based in Selinsgrove, with one to two months annually in Tucson and an anticipated January 2027 start. Requirements
PhD in biology, microbial ecology, biological oceanography, molecular biology, genomics or a related field, plus molecular biology or microbial-culture experience. Transcriptomics and R/Python skills are desirable. US work authorization without employer sponsorship is required; NSF research-security training must be completed before starting.
