About
Lead image processing and analysis of large-scale electron-microscopy datasets in the Allen Institute Brain Science accelerator. Scale high-throughput pipelines toward whole-mouse-brain datasets, oversee automated two-dimensional stitching and three-dimensional alignment, and integrate connectomics with molecular and physiological cell-type measurements. Work with anatomists, physiologists, theorists and modellers and publish the resulting research.
The role is based at 615 Westlake Avenue North, Seattle, with most working hours on site and limited remote flexibility. Include a cover letter and GitHub repository in the application. The advertised annual salary is USD 86,150–106,650; relocation assistance is offered and visa sponsorship may be available.
Requirements
PhD in neuroscience, computer science, applied mathematics or engineering, or equivalent degree and experience; strong image-processing and programming skills; familiarity with software-engineering practice. Python, cloud computing, connectomics and machine learning experience are preferred.
