Full-time tenure-track faculty recruitment for an autumn 2027 start. Develop an externally funded research programme involving undergraduate students and teach physics courses. Quantum science and photonics are priority areas, while exceptional applicants in other fields that complement the department are welcome. Current strengths also include condensed matter, biological physics, astrophysics and cosmology. Review starts on 15 November 2026 and continues until the positions are filled.
Requirements
PhD, strong research potential and evidence of teaching excellence; postdoctoral experience is preferred. Submit a cover letter, CV, research and teaching statements, a statement on contributions to Villanova’s mission, and three confidential reference letters through the university portal. Finalists must supply degree transcripts.
