Tenure track Assistant professor/Associate professor Position in Material Engineering and Manufacturing

Two positions as tenure-track assistant professor or associate professor in materials engineering and manufacturing at the Department of Mechanical and Production Engineering, Aarhus University, from 1 July 2027 or as soon as possible. Themes include additive and hybrid manufacturing (metal additive manufacturing, laser processing and welding, joining of dissimilar materials, post-processing and process modelling) and materials durability and advanced materials (extreme conditions, 4D printing, bioprinting and biofabrication, surface modification, lubrication and functional surfaces).

The roles combine research, course development from bachelor to PhD level, supervision, external funding and industry collaboration.

A PhD in materials science and engineering, mechanical engineering or a closely related field with substantial research experience; documented teaching experience for the associate professor level.
