Physical Chemistry conferences

This research conference examines how to model physical interactions at flat interfaces in two-dimensional materials, thin films and metal surfaces. It addresses lattice mismatch and moiré systems, machine-learning interatomic potentials, and prediction of vibrational and electronic properties. Invited talks, short presentations and a panel connect scalable atomistic methods to materials discovery and composition optimization, including applications in carbon capture, alternatives to persistent chemicals and solar-energy materials. Researchers from academia and industry will discuss common accuracy and computational challenges. The Southwest Regional Meeting brings researchers to Fort Worth to discuss chemistry across energy, sustainability and biology. The programme spans molecular energy systems, batteries and catalysis, sustainable materials and chemical biology, with general and specialist symposia and a plenary lecture by H. N. Cheng. The meeting takes place at the Hilton Fort Worth from 16 to 19 November 2026. On-site registration is available. This symposium connects academic and industrial work on automated chemistry, from robotic solid/liquid handling and flow chemistry to reaction monitoring, purification, algorithms and experiment design. Scientific sessions examine automated chemistry data workflows, agentic high-throughput synthesis, kinetic measurements and mechanistic models, data-driven purification and AI-assisted R&D. It serves researchers, students and industrial chemists using automation in organic, medicinal and process chemistry. The 24 November programme has registration at 10:00, opening remarks at 10:30, scientific presentations from 10:35 to 16:10 and a networking reception at 16:15 (London local time, GMT).
