The Fall Meeting connects materials synthesis, structure and properties with applications in energy, electronics, quantum technologies and medicine. Its symposia combine in situ electron microscopy, ultrafast measurements, diffraction, spectroscopy and computational modelling to study dynamic processes, defects and interfaces. Research tracks examine batteries and sustainable chemical conversion, semiconductor and photonic devices, quantum matter, nanoscale assembly, soft bioelectronics, regenerative biomaterials, and structural materials for extreme environments. AI-assisted design and autonomous experiments are addressed alongside experimental characterization and manufacturing. The plenary examines recovery of critical elements from urban waste streams and decarbonization of metal production. The meeting takes place on 29 November–4 December 2026 in Eastern Time (America/New_York, UTC−05:00). Sunday tutorials run 08:30–17:00; Monday's plenary is 08:15–09:30. Symposia run through the week, ending Friday at 13:00. All sessions and presentations are in person. Registration requires an MRS account. Until 29 October at 23:59 ET, general registration is US$1,240, or US$1,085 with the member discount; student rates are US$380 or US$335. Higher rates begin on 30 October. Breaking News abstract submissions closed on 16 September.

Examine the principles connecting growth, form and regeneration across organisms. The programme integrates genetics, experiments, theory and computation to investigate gene-regulatory networks, tissue morphogenesis, cell-fate decisions and developmental pathways in disease. Stem-cell models, imaging, omics and biophysical models support discussion of how developmental mechanisms can inform tissue repair and biomedical applications. Talks, posters and discussion connect shared mechanisms across experimental systems. 17–22 January: check-in begins Sunday at 14:00, with scientific introductions at 19:30; departure is Friday at 09:00. Times: Europe/Rome (CET, UTC+01:00). Apply by 20 December through myGRC; apply by 15 November for oral-presentation consideration. Acceptance is selective and capacity limited. Applicants need a science/engineering bachelor’s degree or accepted equivalent; undergraduates are ineligible. Fees: US$1,780 single room, US$1,460 shared room or US$990 off-site. The associated GRS requires a separate application.

The 31st annual conference brings scientists, engineers, clinicians and industry researchers together to discuss biomaterials, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. Topics include biointerfaces and host responses, drug delivery, biofabrication, responsive materials, computational biomaterials, biosensing, mechanobiology, stem-cell technologies and clinical translation. Oral and poster contributions connect fundamental materials research with medical devices and disease models. The three-day in-person programme includes scientific sessions and networking. Paid registration offers member, student and early-career categories with supporting evidence required for discounted eligibility. Abstracts are due on 6 November 2026; presenter registration and early-bird pricing end on 19 February 2027. The registration page states the early-bird cutoff as 23:59 ACDT.

The meeting examines regeneration as a coordinated biological response involving developmental, immune, mechanical and metabolic signals. Sessions explore injury sensing, repair initiation, fibrosis and loss of tissue function, including the constraints imposed by aging and chronic disease. Comparisons with organisms capable of extensive regeneration are combined with bioengineering, synthetic biology and quantitative methods to measure, predict and influence repair across organs. Attendance requires a bachelor’s degree in science or engineering, or an accepted equivalent. Applications are subject to selection and available capacity.
