Abstract
Tomohiro Soejima investigates the low-energy spectra of frustration-free Hamiltonians, whose local terms can all be minimised together. The talk establishes a lower bound of two on the dynamical exponent, excluding conformal critical points with exponent one from this class. A mapping to Markov processes yields the same lower bound for their relaxation-time scaling, improving the earlier bound of seven quarters. The work is joint with Rintaro Masaoka and Haruki Watanabe.
