Abstract

Canonical quantization of general relativity with a cosmological constant raises questions about which graviton states on de Sitter spacetime are normalizable. This seminar revisits that problem in the self-dual formulation. It also explores an analogy between the Hamiltonian constraint and quantum Hall physics, with the cosmological constant taking a role analogous to a resistivity.
