Abstract

Repeated analyses across datasets often leave statisticians with multiple near-identical versions of copied and adapted code. Packaging these scripts can make code reuse easier, but the transition can be daunting for researchers without a software development background. This seminar follows the development of moiraine, an R package that generates reproducible pipelines for integrating multiple omics datasets. It explains the motivation for converting a collection of R scripts into a package, the tools that supported that process, and the practical lessons learned along the way.
