Abstract

The causal propagator provides a covariant route to scalar quantum field theory in both continuum and causal-set settings. This talk reviews uses of its spectrum and proposes an asymptotic spectral-density law, supported by examples. The conjecture connects Lorentzian spectral geometry to the role played by Weyl's law in Riemannian geometry.
