Topic: cell-based assays

Support high-throughput testing of research and process-development samples using automated liquid handlers. The role runs established biochemical, ELISA and cell-based assays, maintains reagents and cell cultures, records experiments in Benchling and assists with laboratory operations and sample logistics. Work follows established procedures under scientists and engineers in Technical Development and Operations. The advertised annual base salary is USD 72,000–80,000, with additional incentive eligibility.

A January–June 2027 placement with the Biotherapeutics Discovery team in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Work focuses on evaluating and improving therapeutic antibodies and VHH candidates through binding, biophysical and cell-based assays. Activities include protein production and purification, mammalian cell culture, ELISA, Octet measurements, size-exclusion chromatography and assessment of thermal stability. Results support the progression of discovery programmes toward clinical development.

Lead discovery of lipid nanoparticle systems that deliver RNA beyond the liver. The director coordinates lipid chemistry, formulation, protein design and bioconjugation with cell-based assays and animal studies. Responsibilities include translating delivery research across species, directing a research team and shaping scientific publications and intellectual property. This full-time laboratory leadership position is fully onsite in South Boston, Massachusetts.
