Supports basic materials research across biomaterials, ceramics, condensed-matter theory and physics, electronic and photonic materials, metals and metallic nanostructures, polymers, and solid-state and materials chemistry. Akira Furusaki’s Quantum Matter Theory Research Group seeks postdoctoral researchers studying strongly correlated electrons, topological phases, superconductivity, quantum spin liquids and open many-body systems. The group also connects ultracold-atom dynamics and quantum-information concepts with condensed-matter theory. Applicants must hold, or obtain before starting, a doctorate based on theoretical condensed-matter research; the postdoctoral classification generally covers the first five years after the doctorate.
