Three-year doctoral employment investigating microbial secondary metabolites as biofungicides. Combine chromatography, LC-MS, MALDI imaging and NMR with genome mining, microbial engineering and biosynthesis. The Sino-Danish Centre-supported project includes a required research stay at the Beijing Institute of Genomics and awards a double degree from DTU and UCAS. Start is early 2027 and no later than 1 April. Applications close on 31 October 2026 at 23:59 Danish time.

Learn metabolomics experimental design, LC-MS and imaging acquisition, quality control, data processing, compound annotation and modelling through lectures, practicals and public-data case studies. The course uses Galaxy and MetaboLights to teach standardised workflows, open data and submission practices, including lipidomics and biological interpretation. It is intended for researchers new to metabolomics; basic command-line or Galaxy familiarity helps. There are 30 selected places. Fees are £975 for academia and £1,275 for industry, including four nights’ accommodation and programme catering

Synthesise, purify and characterise modified oligonucleotides for gene editing and targeted delivery research. The role uses automated solid-phase synthesis, preparative chromatography, LC-MS and bioconjugation to produce RNA/DNA reagents and small-molecule or antibody conjugates for experimental studies. This full-time laboratory role is fully onsite in South Boston, Massachusetts.
