Develop a complete CT-imaging workflow from scanner selection and acquisition settings to publication-quality visualisation. The course explains volumetric reconstruction, preprocessing and segmentation, including advanced and AI-assisted methods. Practical work improves segmented three-dimensional meshes, reduces noise and prepares datasets for quantitative analysis, images and video. It provides a technical foundation for beginners working with biological or earth-science specimens. Live sessions: 14, 16, 19, 21 and 23 October, 14:00–18:30, Europe/Madrid (CEST, UTC+02:00). Advance Neuroscience Research with Integrated Microscopy & Image Analysis

Heather Wicker-Blackwell · Motic Instruments, Inc.

Wed, Oct 28, 2026 · 17:00 UTC

This methods webinar demonstrates an integrated workflow for imaging neural cells, tissues and other biological structures. Motic microscopy and high-resolution digital imaging are combined with Media Cybernetics Image-Pro software for image processing, segmentation, measurement and quantitative analysis. The presenters explain how to standardize neuroscience imaging, reduce manual analysis, and produce quantitative data, visualizations and documentation suited to research workflows. The session is presented by instrument and software specialists from Motic Instruments and Media Cybernetics.

Investigate how mice learn and generalize between virtual and real environments in the Optophysiology Lab at IMBIT. The project combines behavioural experiments, neural recordings and quantitative analysis with development and in-vivo validation of a two-photon miniscope. The researcher will contribute to device design, model behavioural and neural data, and help interpret and publish findings. The 65% appointment is funded for three years, with a possible extension; the advertised initial term ends on 30 November 2029. Pay follows E13 TV-L. Applications close on 31 October 2026.
