Conduct independent computational-biomedicine research with AI and machine-learning mentors and experimental collaborators across UC Berkeley and UCSF. Fellows can work across laboratories rather than follow one predefined project. The appointment lasts two years, with a possible third year based on performance. Prior biology experience is valued but not essential.
