Learn to turn airborne, drone and terrestrial LiDAR measurements into ecological and forestry information. Exercises in lidR cover point-cloud inspection, classification and height normalisation, terrain and canopy models, individual-tree segmentation and area-based estimates of forest structure. The programme also introduces satellite LiDAR from GEDI, spatial visualisation and measurements of canopy heterogeneity for biodiversity research.
Sessions: 19–21 October, 13:00–17:00 each day, Europe/Berlin (CEST, UTC+02:00).
Live online training; fee €380. Practical exercises use R and LiDAR datasets.
