Workshop
Nuclear Energy: From Fundamental Science to Modern Technologies – International Workshop for Doctoral Researchers
About
A two-day scientific and training workshop, designed primarily for doctoral researchers, that presents modern nuclear energy from complementary perspectives: reactor physics and advanced nuclear technologies, radiation protection, dosimetry and modern computational methods. The programme combines invited expert lectures with time for questions and discussion, an expert panel moderated by doctoral researchers, and practical work in small international groups on selected problems and case studies under the guidance of invited experts, with each group presenting its conclusions for joint discussion. The workshop brings together doctoral researchers from KISD, other Polish doctoral schools and international research institutions with invited experts from several countries, and is open to doctoral researchers from outside KISD. The working language is English and participation is free of charge. It is supported by the Polish Academy of Sciences under the MOST PAN programme.
