133. Kongress der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Innere Medizin (DGIM 2027)

Drawing on geroscience, which treats biological ageing as the common basis of almost all chronic diseases of adulthood and links molecular and cellular markers of ageing to age-related disease, the programme gives practice-oriented, evidence-based assessments of established and innovative approaches across the specialties of internal medicine for maintaining or regaining health over the lifespan. It also covers the interfaces with cooperating therapeutic disciplines, complementary research approaches, and the psychological, social and environmental factors that accentuate or mitigate ageing and age-related disease, with implications for behavioural and structural prevention. Ursula Müller-Werdan is congress president. The congress runs from 10 to 13 April 2027 at the RheinMain CongressCenter in Wiesbaden and includes the 20th patients' day on 10 April 2027. Abstracts can be submitted from 15 September to 15 December 2026.
